Grandmaster R Pragyanand won the second consecutive win and defeated the Vincent Cammer of Germany and now he tops the fourth round of Prague Masters Chess with Aravind Chidambaram with three points. Aravind played a draw with the US’s Sam Shankland while the top seeded China’s Wei Yi defeated local player David Navara.
Aneesh Giri of the Netherlands played the fourth consecutive draw. His bet was on par with the Turki’s Gurle Edes. Grandmaster Anguyen Thai Dei Van of the Czech Republic played a draw from Kuang Leim Lee of Vietnam. Shankland, Kemer, Giri and Lee are in the joint third place.
Pragyananda will face Aravind in the next round in which he will play with white pieces. In the Challenger category, Divya Deshmukh played a draw with Maa Kun of China and now she has one and a half points after four matches. Please tell that earlier R Pragyananda defeated D Gukesh and won the Tata Steel Masters Chess title. For the first time an Indian won this title.
